150,000+ satisfied passengers in Italy

Shotl's On-Demand Transit technology has helped improve the way many people get around in isolated villages, rural areas, scattered towns, or suburban areas in large cities. In this way, we share the journey of cities and Public Transport Operators (PTOs) alike as they progress toward making mobility more inclusive and accessible for all.

At the end of September 2022, the Italian Ravenna San Pietro operation, operated by PTO Coerbus since 2020, was extended to cover neighboring towns. This expansion represents an enlargement of the current 125 km2 area with over 230 virtual van stops.

Starting on November 14th, this service is the second operation to be launched with PTO Start Romagna. Thanks to the two “BusSì” vehicles, citizens will be able to move from the most isolated areas to points of interest such as the hospital, the train station, or Montefiori shopping centre. The service will be active from Monday to Saturday from 9h to 12h and from 15h to 19h.

The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility, Ms. Francesca Lucchi commented: “with this initiative we will be testing On-Demand Transport in Cesena according to the needs of citizens who reside in the areas furthest from the center, where there is currently no service available, except for school transport. The service will be free of charge until after Christmas”.

And the success of On-Demand Transit is attracting attention. More and more cities and PTOs are adopting this innovative mobility. Shotl's platform helps achieve this objective in an
