A distracted driver is a dangerous driver, and cellphone use at the wheel is a modern disease that’s on the rise globally.

As one of the 5 shortlisted new-mobility start-ups, Shotl were in Vienna to present a new transport concept to an audience that included notable representatives from the largest Automotive Club in Europe.

This Autumn sees us head out a little further afield as we attend the Dubai World Congress for Self-driving Transport as well as two other notable Tech and Transport events right here in Europe.

Machine Learning (ML) is a field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) which focuses on the development of techniques that allow computers to learn how to perform a specific task.

Shotl has started a collaboration with Nobina Technology to provide a new service in the city of Stockholm. Nobina Technology is considered to be the largest and most experienced transport service provider in the Nordic region.

Think Netflix, iTunes and new digital banks like Revolut. If this can also be applied to mobility, it could encourage people to choose more sustainable transit.

Pollution, congestion and changing mobility are challenging the car’s dominion over cities. Amsterdam is the latest taking bold steps to reclaim the streets for people, with potentially huge benefits.

We are pleased to announce that yet again we have been nominated for another prestigious award. This time, at the TaaS Technology Awards in Birmingham, England.

Shotl’s on-demand mobility platform is the backbone of a new project currently underway at Munich Airport. The project aims to improve workplace mobility for airport employees.

The City of Oulu (Finland) contacted us to register their interest and find out more about what Shotl could do for them. They were interested in providing transit service in two areas just north of the city.

A local on-demand pilot in Herzogenbuchsee, Switzerland that is run by volunteers and operates via a fully electric-fleet, including a rickshaw, is now using Shotl’s platform under the umbrella of the project flow on demand.

As we often say, it is our mission here at Shotl to change the future of mobility. And, whilst it is always important to look straight ahead, we do occasionally like to review our current operations.

After our successful deployment in the neighborhood of Can Barata, which has transported more than 8000 people since July 2017, Sant Cugat city council asked us to launch a second service in Les Planes.

On Monday, December 3rd, 2018, Shotl started a three-month pilot in Sant Sadurní, a town just 30 Km away from Barcelona.
